Beech
Beech Hardwood Flooring has reddish brown heartwood, with pale white sapwood. The Grain
is mostly closed, straight with a uniform texture, and coarser than European beech.
Beech hardwood has a hardness of 1300 in Janka Table which is about 1% harder than Northern Red Oak. It is hard, excellent shock resistance, wears wells and stays smooth when subjected to friction.
Beech hardwood is good to work with machine tools but somewhat difficult to work with hand tools, and it has the tendency to split. It is good for sanding and finishing.
